Friend of the band, writer and explorer extraordinaire Richard Grant has made a brilliant documentary about the people of the south western states of the USA and their wanderlust. The film is called American Nomads and is based on his book of the same name.

The soundtrack was composed by Morcheeba’s very own Ross Godfrey. It was broadcast on BBC 4 and is now available online at the following link: American Nomads | Watch Free Documentary Online

And welcome to Morcheeba’s newest little fan. Our good friend Steve Osborn and his wife have just had a baby boy. Like all good hippies they were listening to a birthing compilation he made up especially. The baby arrived halfway through ‘Let Me Sea’ by Morcheeba!!! His name is Benjamin Lane Osborn and he lives in Texas.

Happy Xmas from Morcheeba!

It’s been a fantastic year for us – we’ve toured all over the world, played to thousands of our fans and had loads of fun doing it!
Thank you to everyone who has joined us on our musical journey in 2011.
We’re looking forward to enjoying the holiday period with our families and friends and we wish you the same seasonal joy . . . so we leave you with some exciting news for 2012. Morcheeba are back in the studio writing and recording a new album . . . stay tuned!

It’s hard to believe it’s only April with all the touring we have been doing all over the world!

Already having visited our fans in the US, Canada and South America, we have made our way back to Europe and jumped back on the bus for some springtime fun.

Fantastic crowds pepped us up in Zurich and Girona…So now it’s on to Paris, Clermont and Marmande this week with the lovely Melanie Pain supporting. And we round out the month with festivals in Lille on 15th and Strasbourg on 16th.

Wow. Just got back to London after a whirlwind tour of South America. It was a blast. Buenos Aires was fantastic, we played a great gig and found a brilliant bar called the Puerta Roja – cocktails on the roof till the early morning on our one and only day off, it was magical.

Santiago were the best crowd – all whooping and cheering like crazy people! São Paulo was bittersweet as it was the end of a lovely, short tour but we got to play the song São Paulo which went down great. We had a small party in the Skye bar after (yes it is named after Skye) great views and lethal Capirinhias then jumped on a plane back home for a few days rest before the European tour starts again . . . Switzerland, Spain and France here we come!
